WORDS ABOUT THE SACRED PEACE POLE

"Mitakuyapi, Relatives & Friends,

This email is to inform you that the Peace Pole to represent the Spirit, Plant, Bird, Animal, Fish and Insect Nations of Turtle Island has been determined in ceremony last night, 10/13/11. The creation of it has begun and Unci Keya, "Grandmother Turtle" will be mounded on the top of the pole, representing North America. On her back she will carry the Sacred Symbols of Peace from the Star Grandmothers and Grandfathers, engraved in her shell. At the base, where one cannot see under the pole will be the Universal & Spiritual Law Symbols of Creation, to be touching and grounded into Mother Earth.

The phrase, "May Peace Prevail On Earth" will be in four languages of Turtle Island and representing the four aspects of human nature:

Hopi (Heart-Emotions), Mayan or Inca (Mind-Thought), Cherokee (Physical-Body) and La/Da/Nakota (Spirit-Prayer).

The Isage Wookiye', Peace Pole is made from the Sacred Cottonwood of the La/Na/Dakota Sacred Sun Dance ceremony. This year his name is "Iyokipipi Wicasa", Joyous Man.

We will carry this message of Peace to SERPENT MOUND Peebles Ohio to present to those in attendance and allow for all to see and make prayers with. We will carry this Isage' Wookiye' to other gathering from here forward to promote the Love, Light, Peace, Unity, Harmony, Truth & Freedom Consciousness for Humanity.

This Peace Pole was the made from the tree where the eagle nation rests/meets regularly and it is alive with life, light, spirit and carries good intention for all the world.

I am Chief Blue Star Eagle and I am honored to help create this Isage' Wookiye' Wakan, Sacred Peace Pole to assist humanity in their Spiritual Unfoldment for Mother Earth's evolution.

Crater at Serpent Mound
BY THOMAS T. JOHSON

Ohio is an ancient sea bed dating back hundreds of millions of years, to a time when the earth was covered with a salt water sea. Its fossil-rich sediments extend more than 5000 feet deep. Located on the edge of the Appalachian Mountain Escarpment, the Serpent Mound Crater has unusual geology, which dates back about 600 million years to the pre-Cambrian period. Rocks exposed in the crater date from 438 million to 345 million years old.

At that time there was a "T" shaped fault in the sea floor just east of Serpent Mound, running north-south along the sea floor from Sinking Spring to Locust Grove, and east-west parallel to Parker Ridge Road. Over 300 million years ago an asteroid or meteor collided with the seabed, creating a crater 5 miles wide. This is the only place on earth where an object from space has collided with a rift or fault in the earth's surface.

The impact created magnetic anomalies across the crater. The faulting in the crater has a direct effect on the weather, causing severe storms to dissipate as they approach the rim. Local residents tell of the batteries on vehicles and cell phones being mysteriously drained.

Scientists have speculated since the 1830's about the Serpent Mound Disturbance. In 1838 John Locke termed it the "Sunken Mountain" due to the geology turned upside down. In 1925 Walter Bucher renamed the area a "Crypto-Volcanic" structure, theorizing that the area exploded from beneath the surface. This theory is still reflected in the bronze marker which overlooks the crater from Woodland Altars on State Route 41.

Moon rocks brought back by Apollo Astronauts finally unlocked the mystery. The moon is covered with impact craters, unaffected by time due to the lack of atmosphere. Most impact craters have Breccia, a rock that has been blasted apart and re-formed to resemble concrete. Comparing the moon rocks to Serpent Mound Breccia, NASA researchers found a tiny Quartz particle called a PDF, slightly larger than a human hair.

PDF stands for Planar Deformation, meaning that the micro-quartz is etched with tiny straight lines which can only be made by high velocity impact. You could call the PDF a "smoking gun". Breccia from the Serpent Mound crater also contains trace elements from the asteroid such as Cobalt, Chromium, Nickel, Iron, Zinc, and Iridium, a rare element usually associated with space rocks and impact craters.

"The Peace Pole is the representative of the Sundance Tree, Iyokipipi Wicasa, Joyous Man. Sundance is the greatest ceremony we have for healing of Mother Earth and its inhabitants. The quickest path to spiritual freedom and healing is to forgive. In order to find peace, you have to forgive. Begin by forgiving within yourself, then family, community, nation and world. You have to start within yourself and that will have a ripple effect."

9:00 am Sweat Lodge
The lodge is a very powerful spiritual and healing ceremony. It is a practice that has existed in communities for thousands of years, for healing and purification. The practice is strenuous and demanding of the spirit and the body and may not be suited for everyone. You will undergo and overcome, emotional and physical challenges as you cleanse your system of those energies that no longer serve you.

Sweat Lodge Ceremonies may be performed with a variety of intentions. There are Healing Sweat Lodges, Purifying Sweat Lodges, Visionary Sweat Lodges for receiving divine insights, and Communal Sweat Lodges for creating a feeling of oneness within the circle. Sweat Lodges are also an integral part of the Vision Quest, where they are visited several times during a two to four day ceremony designed to create an environment conducive to receiving visions. The Lodge Pourer is usually someone who is respected in the community for their teachings and wisdom.

SWEAT LODGE CEREMONY
The “Inipi Wakan,” in Lakota “Sioux,” is one of the oldest rituals in North America
1. THE NATIVE AMERICAN SWEAT LODGE CEREMONY IS:
- A purification and balance of body, mind, spirit and emotions
- A prayer circle
- A healing circle
- A transformation of the Old Self into the New Self
2. WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE CEREMONY?
FIRST ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE SMUDGED WITH SAGE.
The Sweat Lodge is a round, domed structure about 10 feet in diameter and made with flexible willow or other saplings. It is covered with blankets, canvas and animal furs nothing plastic. This is the womb of the mother and the center of the universe so it will breath with you nothing should be more safe then when you are in a lodge. In the center is a shallow pit for stones we call these stones are called the Grandfathers. The Grandfather's are heated in a fire and brought into the lodge by the fire keeper. It is good to offer him Tobacco. ( Thomas Johnson Thunder Rock smokes cigars) however any kind of tobacco will do.
There is a sacred kine from the fire to the lodge. It is the ambilicl cord so we never step on it. We walk around that line in a clockwise manner.
I the middle between the fire an d the opening is a mound of dirt with a buffalo skull and the sacred pipe. It is there you can ask to place your sacred objects.
When you enter the Lodge we crawl in on all fours clock wise and say all my relations or
Mitakuye Oyasin (All Are Related) is a phrase from the Lakota language. Meaning the underlying belief of interconnectedness with all creation,

you will sit in a circle around the rock pit. The leader of the ceremony pours water on the heated stones, making steam. When you can cover your face with a towel you bring. And you can lay on the ground and get close to the mother because heat rises. . Cedar, sage, tobacco and sweet grass are burned to help focus and balance the senses and for purification Thomas and i Prefer to use Bear Root. When the flap door is closed it is completely dark inside. The interior heats up, prayers are made and sacred songs are sung. The ceremony consists of four “rounds.
A very sacred pipe (“Chanupa Wakan Cha” in Lakota Sioux), or tobacco rolled in a corn husk is sometimes smoked. The smoke is believed to penetrate the realms of creation, moving from the dense to the more subtle, thus carrying the prayers to the Creator. Tobacco and herbs are used in the smoking mixture and are non-hallucinogenic. Indian Tobacco (Kinnikinnik) is a mixture of Damiana, Coltsfoot, Uva Ursi, Lobelia, Osha root, and Red Willow bark.
Immediately after the Sweat Lodge you will share in a simple “feast” in the Sweat Lodge area. This is a social time and the concluding element of the ceremony.

AT ANY TIME YOU MAY LEAVE THE LODGE JUST ASK FIRST.

3.WHAT TO BRING, WHAT DO I WEAR IN THE SWEAT LODGE?
What to Bring: a towel to sit on and a change if clothes and food for the feast. Love offerings are welcome but not expected.
What to wear: Modesty and comfort best describe the attire for the Sweat Lodge. It is respectful for men to wear loose, long bathing suits. Traditionally, women wear long skirts and loose-fitting tops. Or a cotton dress.
Shoes are not worn in the Sweat Lodge, but may be worn outside the lodge between “rounds.” It helps if your shoes can be easily removed. Also, it is recommended that you take a large towel into the lodge.
WHAT NOT TO WEAR synthetic materials.
No jewelry or glasses. You may place those things on the mound.
NOTE:
• Everything said in the sweat lodge is kept confidential.
• To prevent a chill, even in hot weather, it is wise to bring a jacket or other warm clothing for after the ceremony.
• If the ceremony is held in the evening, it is advisable to bring a flashlight.
IT HAS BEEN A COLD WINTER SO IF ANY OF YOU CAN BRING WOOD THAT WOULD BE A BIG BLESSING
